I wish I could say I “discovered” this place, but alas, I did not. I found it on the internet when looking for vintage stores in Edinburgh. It definitely lived up to its listing as “one of the best craft and vintage shops in Edinburgh” according to the Guardian. Unicorn Antiques is located in the New Town area of Edinburgh. Their web site says the building is a former dairy.

You walk downstairs to the 1st floor of the shop which is crowded with glassware, collectibles, ceramics, the “curios” their web site mentions and pretty much anything else you can imagine. I do not recommend taking small children or large husbands in here. In fact, I realized one of the photos I took had my lululemon bag in it since I had to set it down as to not knock anything over!

You walk downstairs to their even lower level which had larger pieces of furniture, a slightly damp, earthy smell, a great place to keep dairy products fresh, perhaps?

Be prepared to find traditional antiques along with more quirky items.

I could spend some serious time in a store like this!
